Kiwi360
The kiwifruit is a national icon. It’s one of New Zealand’s major export products and the story of its success is a real testament to kiwi ingenuity. Kiwi360 in Te Puke is a great place to find out all there is to know about the fruit that was once known as the Chinese gooseberry. Bee fascinated with the home of natural health and bee products at Comvita, situated halfway between Tauranga and Rotorua at the Junction on SH33, just a 20 minute drive from Papamoa Beach. O’Hara Wildlife Estate
Horse riding safaris, deer estate safaris, wildlife encounters, river safaris, reflections river picnic walkways, foresters outdoor dining, bow hunting and archery, target-hunting and fishing. All this and more can be found at the O’Hara Wildlife Estate at Paengaroa, on the road from Te Puke to Rotorua. Briars Horse Treks

Cultural Heritage Regional Park
Tauranga Council, Western Bay District Council and Environment Bay of Plenty have purchased 97.5 hectares of land in the Papamoa Hills for a cultural heritage park. The park is primary focussed on protection of the cultural heritage sites and passive recreation. The magnificent scenery can be admired from several walking tracks, viewpoints and picnic areas.
Baypark Speedway
Mt Maunganui’s Baypark is well known as the ‘Home of Speedway’ in the Bay of Plenty, but the Blue Chip Stadium’s reputation as a multi-purpose event venue is growing. It’s a wonderful stadium for rugby as well and the Baypark event centre specialises in conferences, conventions and seminars. The 1200 sq metre indoor centre is often divided for presentations, product launches, expos and trade displays. Parking is provided for 5700 vehicles and the fast exit lanes ensure minimum delay on departure.
Te Puke Golf Club
If you love golf, you’ll love playing at this course. Playing golf at Te Puke is playing in the Heart of Paradise where we have an all year round fully irrigated, easy walking and very accessible green. The grounds are all beautifully landscaped and the tree lined fairways provide a challenge for golfers of all abilities. To end your day, we recommend a visit to the golf club’s quality café.
Tauranga Golf Club
In a nation which boasts more golf courses per capita than any other country in the World, the Western Bay and Tauranga in particular have some of New Zealand’s finest courses. Located at the Tauranga Racecourse Reserve, the Tauranga Golf Course offers 18 championship tested holes of real character that will challenge and delight all players. Open all year around and visitors are welcome.
Mt Maunganui Golf Club Boasting one of the most up to date, spacious and luxurious club houses in the country, the Mount Maunganui golf club with its championship 18 hole, Par 72, 6082m course, offers golfers challenges to satisfy all level of players as well as a year-round benign climate. Visitors are most welcome. |
Omanu Golf Club
A pleasant, gently rolling 18 hole course with well defined, fully irrigated fairways the Omanu Golf Course is an enjoyable and interesting course to play. It is well suited to players of all levels of ability. The clubrooms are modern and comfortable, with bar and catering services available at most times. You are welcome to enjoy a leisurely meal and/or drink after a round of golf. Green fees players are always welcome subject to regular member bookings. A call to the club is advised to check availability.
